In line with the Association\u2019s objective to build lands management capacity in communities across Quebec and Labrador, we provide professional development opportunities for Indigenous Lands Managers through specialized training and education.<\/p>\n
Our multi-day technical trainings<\/strong> are typically held in person, while interactive webinars<\/strong> are offered throughout the year to address emerging issues and specialized topics. All lands managers working for Indigenous communities are eligible to attend NALMA’s trainings. It certifies that an individual:<\/p>\n Obtaining this certificate is both a remarkable achievement and an important responsibility for lands managers.<\/p>\n First Nations subject to RLEMP may receive additional funding when they hire a certified lands manager. It covers the fundamentals of Indigenous lands management as well as related legal and environmental concepts.<\/p>\n The PLMCP Level I can also be completed in French at the Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec en Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue (UQAT).
